4/12/07 Downtown Marina Beaufort, SC

Pronounced B'you-fort, this is a wonderful place to visit. Quaint shops and old houses. We took a historic carraige ride with Walter who has lived here all his life. He even grew up speaking Gullah, an African American language peculiar to the area. We were treated to free chocolate at The Chocolate Tree thanks to him. I found the best place for stamps at The Carolina Stamper very close to the docks and went back for an evening of free scrapbooking. I like it here. There's a great riverwalk with lots of swings.
